Stanford, CA - On May 4, 2026, the Lindy Waters III Foundation continued its commitment to empowering Native youth through education by taking seven students from its College Prep Program on an immersive visit to Stanford University.

The visit provided students with an opportunity to experience campus life firsthand, connect with university admissions staff, hear directly from current Stanford students, and tour one of the nation’s leading universities. Throughout the day, students were encouraged to envision themselves pursuing higher education and to see the possibilities available to them beyond high school.

In addition to the campus visit, students also had the opportunity to visit Google, where they learned more about career pathways, innovation, and the importance of Indigenous representation in professional spaces.

Our Foundation believes experiences like these are critical in helping students build confidence, expand their goals, and realize their full potential. By physically stepping onto college campuses and into leading professional environments, students are able to see themselves in spaces they may not have previously imagined accessible to them.

“Our goal is to create opportunities that inspire Native youth to dream bigger and pursue their future with confidence,” the Foundation shared. “Representation and exposure matter, and we want our students to know they belong in these spaces.”

This Stanford visit is part of the Lindy Waters III Foundation’s ongoing College Prep Program, which is dedicated to supporting Native students through mentorship, educational opportunities, and personal development experiences designed to help them succeed both academically and professionally.
